DIY 4th of July Tee

These adorable little tees are so easy and fun to make.....you only need a few things to make this......we were able to purchase everything from Hobby Lobby.

What you'll need:
1 blank white t-shirt
Blue fabric paint
Red fabric paint
A foam paint brush
Letter Applique(we chose first initial)
and an Iron

First you start by painting the palm of the hand with the blue fabric paint(making sure it's good and wet when you place it on the shirt so that the hand print shows up real good)and pressing firmly on the shirt. When you pull the hand off you will need to carefully pull the shirt off too.
Also, make sure you put a book or something hard inside the shirt so that the paint won't bleed through to the back of the shirt............
Next, paint the stripes on with the red fabric paint leaving enough white in between to look like the American Flag.

Let dry completely...........

Once dried place the letter on the bottom left corner of the shirt. Apply as per instructions on the back of letter(you can find these at Hobby Lobby.
We had to press the Iron over the letter for 20-25 seconds and then once it cooled completely, turn the shirt inside out and press the Iron down on the back part for another 20-25 seconds. It might be different depending on what type of letter you get.

And this is the finished project! We love it and I even got one to make for myself so we can match on the 4th of July!

Hope you enjoy making it as much as we did. Have a happy 4th of July and remember why we celebrate this day............the flag represents so much more than just a cute symbol you can make a cute t-shirt out of.....
