Christmas is finally here.......again

Christmas.........the most wonderful time of the year they say and I think I believe them. For some reason there's this warm and fuzzy feeling I get everytime Christmas comes around! I love the shopping and buying gifts for people, I love baking all the themed Christmas treats, I'm obsessed with ornaments, Christmas music makes me happy, I love sitting by the fire (In our case the heater inside the fire place lol) watching Christmas movies or reading Christmas books to my little Angel, but most of all I love sitting back and thinking of all the blessings I recieved the past year. All the things God has given to me! All the things I didn't and still don't deserve. God is an awesome God and I'm not worthy of his love or salvation, but he gives it to me anyways. It's really easy for us to forget about the reason for this season(especially me). When you think about it, this is TRULY the most wonderful holiday of the year because this is the holiday where our God sent his one and only son to earth to live and walk amongst us and to offer up his life as the atonement for all sin! What better gift is there!!!!! I can't think of one! Let us not forget WHO this holiday is about and glorify in every moment of it!

In the words of Veggie Tales.......
"I can love because God loves me, I can give because God gave. Jesus love is why I'm smiling, why I'm giving everyday"

Someone very special turned 1

My little girl turned 1 on the 4th of this month, but we celebrated her first year of life on the 8th so we could be surrounded by loved ones! I just wanted to share a few pictures and things we did! For those who couldn't be there and for those who could but wont to look back on the day. Enjoy!

Aunt Ange started the day out taking some cute pictures of the little princess! She loves the balloons, just like her mommy did at her age.

The room was very festive and took ALL day to finish! It was fun though and Mia loved it the first time she saw it. I wish I could've gotten a picture of her expression when she first saw the finished room!

Mia's little birthday outfit was so precious on her. We had to get the pictures and then take the hat off though because she pulled the string on the bottom and popped herself with it and just cried and cried. Poor thing :(

We had some yummy food and Mia really enjoyed her cake once she got over the whole "why are you people staring at me while I'm eating" thing LOL

We played "Pin the nose on Larry", played with friends, Opened presents( the new Cozy Coupe was a good idea!) and busted the pinata open. The kids enjoyed themselves and so did I.

All in all it was a good day! And of course our family gatherings can never end without a healthy game of football!! ;)

New Blog Post

Wow, I haven't posted in such a long time. Sorry about that! Things got crazy busy here. Mia turned one and we changed Churches and all that jazz that comes along with it!

I'm super excited about the fall season coming up! Fall is my favorite! I love everything about it. Pumpkins, breezy weather, football, hot chocolate, hoodies, and Halloween. Not to mention my birthday is October 4th. The perfect time to have a birthday!

I will be doing a blog post really soon on MiaBella's birthday party! We had lots of fun and she got lots of stuff. I am so overwhelmed by how blessed my family is and by how many people love my daughter. Thanks everyone who showed up! We love you!

New blog post to come soon!

How to Make Banana Pudding From Scratch

So tonight for dessert I made Banana Pudding from scratch and it was REALLY good! I am not usually one to eat anything with Banana, but I ate this and enjoyed it. My husband loved it as well, and of course that all the matters haha
 Here's how it is made....
You will need....

1/3 cup of Sugar
1 Tbs of Cornstarch
1/8 tsp of Salt
1/4 tsp of Nutmeg
1 1/2 cups of Half in Half
2 Egg Yolks
1 Tbs of Unsalted Butter
2 tsp of Vanilla Extract
Nilla Wafers
Sliced Banana's

Whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, salt, and nutmeg in a medium sized pan. Add the Half in Half and egg yolks. Heat over Medium heat whisking constantly for about 8 minutes or until the mixture hardens and starts to boil. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Place mixture in a bowl and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

Once it's done pick your serving dish of choice and layer the mixture with sliced Banana's and Nilla Wafers. Enjoy.

Photo A Day June......

Here are my pictures from yesterday and today. Yesterday's photo was of a Hat. My new sun hat to be exact.....
And Today's photo was A drink. I chose to photograph my Mickey Mouse cup that I take everywhere with me and it is always filled with water...

Anti Procrastination Day 6

Today my challenge to myself was to Clean off my dresser in my room. It always collects so much stuff but I got it cleaned off and everything put in its proper place. I will also be going through my utensil drawers in the Kitchen and getting them all sorted out!
