Today we got to visit the Pumpkin Patch and we had a blast!
There were TONS of things to do.......A Rubber Ducky Race...Her daddy was showing her the ropes....
A corn pit....She LOVED that one..maybe we can convince MacDaddy to make us one ;)
She got to bounce on the bounce house, which she was thrilled about......
She rode a Tractor......
We got to ride the Cow Train through the Corn Maze. It was actually fun and I'm glad I did it with her.........
We visited the petting Zoo......and of course as always Daddy had to be all paranoid around the animals.
We went through the Hay maze.......
And last but not least.....we rode the hay ride to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out the BEST pumpkins. Mia's favorite part. She's VERY specific about what Pumpkin to choose.
We had a GREAT family day and will definitely be returning to this Pumpkin Patch next year!!! HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!!!
Wow......I haven't posted in FOREVER! It has been crazy here, but I love being able to share my day on a blog so I'm going to try and get back into it. Today is Pumpkin Patch Day here at the Flynn home! YAY! We LOVE the Pumpkin Patch.
We'll be trying a new one today because the one that we have been to two years in a row is not opening this year :( but, that's ok because I like to try new things! Here's a little Throwback to last year at the Pumpkin Patch.......
My little one loves Pumpkins SO much!! Ok, so time to get ready and I will be posting all about it later. God Bless.........
For our "Take A Trip Tuesday" we went to Publix (for mommy to do some grocery shopping ;)) and Mia got a Dora the Explorer balloon that says, "Happy Birthday", even though it is not her birthday till 3 months haha...........We made a trip to Sonic after that so Mia could get her favorite Peach Tea. Then we went to Bruster's Ice Cream since today is 2 pints for $6.99(daddy always makes us get some on Tuesday LOL). Then we came home and played and cooked dinner and ate our Ice cream............
These adorable little tees are so easy and fun to make.....you only need a few things to make this......we were able to purchase everything from Hobby Lobby.
What you'll need: 1 blank white t-shirt Blue fabric paint Red fabric paint A foam paint brush Letter Applique(we chose first initial) and an Iron
First you start by painting the palm of the hand with the blue fabric paint(making sure it's good and wet when you place it on the shirt so that the hand print shows up real good)and pressing firmly on the shirt. When you pull the hand off you will need to carefully pull the shirt off too.
Also, make sure you put a book or something hard inside the shirt so that the paint won't bleed through to the back of the shirt............ Next, paint the stripes on with the red fabric paint leaving enough white in between to look like the American Flag.
Let dry completely...........
Once dried place the letter on the bottom left corner of the shirt. Apply as per instructions on the back of letter(you can find these at Hobby Lobby.
We had to press the Iron over the letter for 20-25 seconds and then once it cooled completely, turn the shirt inside out and press the Iron down on the back part for another 20-25 seconds. It might be different depending on what type of letter you get.
And this is the finished project! We love it and I even got one to make for myself so we can match on the 4th of July! Hope you enjoy making it as much as we did. Have a happy 4th of July and remember why we celebrate this day............the flag represents so much more than just a cute symbol you can make a cute t-shirt out of..... Nikki~
Now we're back to Make Something Monday again(which, personally, is my favorite day of all) and with 4th of July right around the corner, we decided to make some patriotic shirts we could wear............we got in the van and headed to Hobby Lobby and purchased our materials and came home and had a BLAST making these..............
This is how it turned out....There will be a tutorial to follow this post on how to make these.
So for our "Thinking Thursday" we decided to play with shapes.......................
We learned the difference between Square and Circle......and we'll see if it sticks LOL...........her favorite was Circle....(I think she just likes the way it sounds). We did this for about a half hour actually and had a good time. We'll get down Triangle and the rest of the next time LOL
